Welcoming Foster and Adoptive Families Into Community
After establishing their identity, MJM has continued to support The Gathering Well as they grow and adapt to better serve their community.
Peer-to-Peer Academy unites experts in ophthalmology and optometry through unplugged conversations rooted in real-world experience.
Throughout his years of experience, Nick Bruns, OD, FAAO, found value in meeting with his peers directly instead of solely relying on what he learned in lecture halls. It’s through these candid discussions and collaborative problem-solving that the idea for Peer-to-Peer Academy was born. He partnered with MJM to develop a brand identity, digital assets, and a rollout strategy that would turn this dream into more than just a conversation.
While education is fundamental, Dr. Bruns says exposure to real-world experiences separates the good from the great—especially for young doctors. Peer-to-Peer Academy’s goal is to connect younger physicians with experts, creating a network of bright minds (both MD and OD) who can collaborate over new concepts and technologies in surgical eye care.
Our design team developed a brand logo and color scheme centered around the theme of connection. The color blue is most commonly associated with healthcare. Since Peer-to-Peer aims to be healthcare adjacent, their brand colors consist of a “warm blue” to stand out from traditional use, but not so far out that it feels completely separate. The Z-shaped wave in the Peer-to-Peer Academy logo represents the energy flow of peers connecting with each other across the world.
Dr. Bruns wants Peer-to-Peer to remove the line of separation between professors and students and create an atmosphere that says “We’re all equals.” This is reflected in the copy, which takes on a warm and conversational tone. Whether it’s a webinar discussion, an email, or a social post, Peer-to-Peer rides the line between being informal and informed so that all feel welcome to join in on the conversation.
