This guide was developed to walk patients through their Light Adjustable Lens journey after surgery. It breaks down the recovery process in three phases: postoperative healing, vision customization, and final lock-in.
The post-op guide walks patients through what to expect during pre-adjustment appointments, followed by tips on how to use recovery aids such as the RxSight UV-Protective Glasses and prescription eye drops. Next, it gives an overview of their light treatment appointments and an estimated schedule. It also shares tips with a customized activity guide to help patients monitor their vision between appointments so they can work with their doctor to reach their vision goals.
This animated video explains to patients the basics of cataracts, cataract surgery, and what separates fixed lenses from adjustable lenses through animated visuals and friendly narration. Fixed lens power is determined before surgery and cannot be changed once implanted. An adjustable lens is the opposite. After surgery, it can be adjusted up to three times in the eye with special UV light treatments to grant patients truly custom vision.
Selecting a premium lens option and discussions about advanced technology can be overwhelming for patients. This animated video eases their burden by illustrating (literally) how the LAL works. A warm narration aided by striking animation guides patients through UV light treatments, molecule polymerization, and locking in their desired lens power.
